Problem

How do we prevent wardrobe fatigue and uninspired daily outfits?

Many individuals struggle with closet organization and outfit planning, often forgetting what pieces they own or how frequently they wear them. There is a lack of digital tools that not only track clothing usage but also provide brutally honest, expert‑level fashion critiques. Users need an engaging way to manage their wardrobe that pushes their creative boundaries and prevents them from resorting to basic, plain clothing.

Solution

Designing an AI‑powered digital closet assistant.

Rhonda’s Runway is a smart closet website where users can upload their wardrobe items, plan outfits via a calendar, and track their clothing usage statistics. The platform features an AI agent named Rhonda, a world‑renowned runway model who offers sassy, expert fashion advice and brutally honest outfit ratings. This integration of data tracking and personality‑driven AI transforms daily dressing into an engaging, high‑fashion experience.

SWOT Analysis

Where does Rhonda’s Runway fit in the digital wardrobe market?

Compared to Cladwell’s minimalist approach, Rhonda’s Runway capitalizes on a highly opinionated, maximalist AI personality to stand out. While Whering and Acloset excel at basic digitizing, they lack the interactive, brutally honest feedback that Rhonda provides. Pureple offers automatic outfit generation, but Rhonda’s unique focus on high‑fashion styling and tracking yearly wear frequencies creates a far more entertaining and structured user experience.

Design & Build

User Flow

How does a user interact with their digital runway?

The user begins by uploading individual clothing items into their categorized wardrobe, such as outerwear, innerwear, legwear, and footwear. From there, they can combine these pieces into saved outfits and schedule them onto a monthly outfit calendar. Finally, users can interact with Rhonda to rate their style out of 10 or request a last‑minute outfit suggestion based on weather and occasion.

Rhonda Backstory

Creating a virtual Agentic AI model with personality.

Rhonda is a world‑renowned supermodel who won TIME Person of the Year and possesses a massive 12‑bedroom‑sized closet. She is a sassy, hilariously obnoxious diva who despises basic clothes like plain t‑shirts and actively encourages over‑the‑top maximalism. Designed as a young African‑American woman wearing a sunhat and sunglasses, her brutally honest personality pushes users to break their fashion boundaries.

Wireframes + Sketches

How do we structure a functional, fashion‑forward interface?

I sketched initial concepts focusing on a minimalist layout to balance Rhonda’s loud, maximalist personality effectively. The wireframes mapped out core features like the outfit generator, a virtual Tamagotchi‑style interaction space for Rhonda, and data visualization charts. These foundational sketches ensured that complex features, such as the yearly‑frequency worn statistics, remained easy to navigate.

How did vibe‑coding with AI shape the development process?

I built the site utilizing Claude for “vibe‑coding,” which successfully made the site responsive but introduced significant file size limitations. As the project grew, Claude timed out and could no longer edit the massive file, forcing me to use Google Gemini to shrink the code. Although this compression caused a loss of some original functionality, continuous prompting ultimately resulted in a successful, working prototype.

Branding

How do we visually communicate luxury and stardom?

I established a minimalist and luxury foundation for the site, utilizing the Josefin Slab font to keep the layout clean and readable. To add a high‑end designer touch, I incorporated calligraphic “R” and “Y” letters into the logo alongside the signature pink color found on Rhonda’s avatar. Pink stars were also added to give the branding depth and emphasize Rhonda’s role as a runway star.

Delivery

Final

What does the ultimate digital closet experience look like?

The final high‑fidelity application features a robust digital closet where users can seamlessly view their uploaded pieces and track “Style Stats” via interactive pie and bar charts. Rhonda sits in the bottom corner of the interface, her eyes tracking the user’s cursor, ready to deliver her sassy outfit ratings. The seamless integration of the outfit calendar and custom styling prompts makes for a highly interactive and polished fashion tool.

Reflection

Reflection & Conclusion

What did this project teach me about AI and creativity?

Creating an AI‑powered fashion website was a fun challenge that taught me the intricacies and frustrations of vibe‑coding. I learned that while AI is a powerful development tool, humanity must learn to control it rather than become entirely reliant on it. Ultimately, this project reinforced my belief that true human creativity exists independently and is something artificial intelligence simply cannot capture.
